Yes, the running board surface is molded plastic, but the structure underneath is a different story. The photo at left shows the bracket system that supports the weight of your passengers. There is no shortage of metal here, because we expect your running boards to feel solid underfoot.
These running boards are similar to the factory original style commonly seen on today's trucks. They have a clean, simple look and don't really jump out and shout for attention. But don't worry, they can handle a load!
