installed power invertors

Heres a couple of shots of 110-volt power invertors installed in the rear of 2 mini vans.Note the rather heavy gauge cabling that is necessary to connect these larger invertor units. The larger invertors (1000 watts and up) are quite power hungry. This is why we reccomend installing a secondary battery to help feed a healthy supply of 12-volt current to the invertor. Good planning ahead of time for your power needs makes good sense.

The longer the distance between the battery and the invertor, the heavier the supply cable must be. If the supply cable is too thin, the invertor will starve for power and will not work properly, and could be damaged.
