photos, we've constructed a special Sprinter to be used as a mobile
showroom. The salesman's product line consists of apparel and accessories
designed specifically for the golf enthusiast. Since customers would be
spending time inside the van, an efficient design would make their visit
comfortable for them, as well as productive for the salesman. |

This is the humble beginning of the
project. Here the insulation is going into every nook- and-cranny.
The benefit is not only for temperature control, but to make this a
very quiet environment. |
The white paneling is a material called
FRP, or fiber reinforced plastic. It is bonded to the plywood substrate we
installed earlier. The result is a durable, bright surface that is
effortless to keep clean. |
The grey, commercial grade carpet covered
the floor and went 2 feet up the walls. It looks good and will wear like
iron. This is important because we expect heavy use by the customers of
this successful salesman. |

The special racks are beginning to be
installed here. Extra attention is given to the secure attachment of the
racks because of the weight they will carry and the rigors of road
vibration. |
There will be sufficient space for many
garments to be carried in this long wheelbase Sprinter. |
The angled shelves are seen toward the
front of the sales area. The degree of the shelves angle is important so that
the items will not fly off when going around turns, but still display
nicely. |

The racks are starting to get stocked
with product. There are upper and lower rods to accommodate lots of items. |
The importance of a well lit,
comfortable sales area cannot be overstated. The owner is looking forward
to a substantial return on his investment in this vehicle. |
